Dr. Hale-Richlen specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of PANDAS and PANS, also referred to as Post-Infectious Autoimmune Encephalitis. This specialized area of psychiatry focuses on the complex interplay between the immune system, infection and neuropsychiatric symptoms.  Dr. Hale-Richlen collaborates closely with several immunologists to provide the most up to date treatment for these conditions while ensuring the best long term care for her patients. She works tirelessly to find solutions to complex medical and psychiatric conditions.   

 

Dr. Hale-Richlen serves on the Medical Clinical Advisory Board for The PANDAS Network, an organization of doctors, researchers and scientists dedicated to improving the diagnosis and treatment of children with PANDAS. She is the only doctor in the state of Wisconsin listed on the PANDAS Network's directory of physicians qualified to diagnose and treat this complex condition.  She has extensive experience treating PANDAS/PANS/AE and frequently collaborates with other PANDAS/PANS/AE specialists including Dr. Sue Swedo, Dr. Miroslav Kovacevic, Dr. Tanya Murphy and Dr. Elizabeth Lattimer.
